Our Mares must meet certain criteria before they are even considered for a breeding career. Here at VII we breed for longevity, in any sport. We breed for rideability. We breed partners for a lifetime. We value QUALITY over Quantity. That means everything from conformation, to performance in the field, to temperament on the ground. 

We don't want just another pretty face.

The Stallions we choose in our breeding programs are CAREFULLY chosen for more than just pedigree. They have to be easy to live with. They need to be sound of body AND mind. They are half of the foundation to our babies. As picky as we are about the mares, the boys are judged ever harder. We want you to be successful in whatever your chosen path is. 

While we have a few different focus points, we do look for lines that will hold up, both physically and mentally to the work load expected of a show or breeding horse. We look for horses that have proven abilities to excel in Jumpers, Dressage, and Eventing.  Our main wish is to provide owners with horses who are RIDEABLE, who can JUMP, and have HEART. Something you can depend on for a lifetime.
